The Call Of Mother Earth


Mother earth needs our help to keep her planet clean,

We are chopping down everything with a machine,

Blossoming trees that were climbed by wild children,

Running on the meadows of grass with a grin,

The scarlet red hibiscus barely flourishing,

Acres and acres of buganvilias growing,

They were all here as well as the rest waving in the breeze,

Dancing like ballerinas through the trees,

The fascinating fruit filled trees that covered the hills

The grass that waved in the fields to and fro,

Before the vibrations of the disastrous drills,

And the thundering of the monstrous backhoes,

Destroying the flowers row by row,

With a bang and a crash we will soon have no green,

That is how harsh we have truly been,

Our island is beautiful and we need to maintain,

We are making it suffer dearly with pain,

Our island is being filled with unwanted trash,

Wearing the scars of the backhoes like an ugly sash,

Organising beach clean up’s is a great start to set us on our way,

But those who dropped the litter will not be there that day,

To educate the people is what we need to do,

So the cleanup is not left to me and you,

Going green and staying green really is a must,

We need to care for mother earth to regain her trust

My reflection about my Animoto video: I thought my Animoto video was colourful and the background matched the scene of camp. Although I think it turned out well I found it challenging to find a song for the video, and I am still unsatisfied with the song I choose.

I think Prezi is a very useful tool to use but is hard to insert and type text. When using Prezi it's hard to add new text and you the writing can't be different sizes. Prezi is a great way to keep your readers awake and entertain them though it can sometimes be to animated and in your face. I really liked how Prezi isn't at all like a slideshow because the slides can be all over the place and there are many fun and creative effects. I prefer Prezi because there are so many effects and animations you can't do using Google Docs and you can make the slides really artistic and colourful. I would use Prezi again if it was supposed to be a fun and creative slideshow but if the slideshow was supposed to just have facts I'd use Google Docs. In my Prezi slideshow I think I did well making it colourful, getting the right font size and making it all over the place. I think I could have included more photos in the slides but overall I think I did well.

A. I wasn't surprised with school, information and communication but I was surprised by the minutes of pleasure I use.

A. Yes, because I would use Google docs and Weebly for work. I would use email,music,radio and games for pleasure.

A. Yes, because I would call my family and friends whom I have a relationship with and not a stranger who I have no relationship with.

Q. How does my media use relate to stress levels or to specific days of the week?

A. On Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays I have more time so I use more media., where as on most school days I work and do homework.
